Multi Skilled Building Fitters Required

We are seeking a full time Fitter to assist in the preparation of cabins prior to them being dispatched. The role will include general maintenance, repairs and refurbishment to a wide range of re-locatable portable buildings to include the internal and external cleaning of units complete with the installation and removal of partitions, fixtures and fittings. Duties will also include occasional site work and service call outs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing, joinery, painting, electrical work and being able to weld would be an advantage. A FLT qualification and a CSCS card would also be an advantage but not essential. Training will be provided if necessary but a valid driving license is essential.

Yard Operative Required

We are seeking a full time Yard Operative to assist in the preparation of cabins prior to them being dispatched. The ideal candidate will have workshop experience in basic DIY skills to include plumbing, carpentry & painting. Electrical work and being able to weld, a FLT qualification and a CSCS card would also be an advantage but not essential. Training will be provided if necessary but a valid driving license is essential.

Hire Desk Controller Required

We are seeking a full time Hire Desk Controller to work as an all-round administrator that will support the depot team in all aspects of the day to day running of a sales/hire depot.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position within the Portable Building Industry, however if you have similar experience working within the Plant and Tool Hire Industry then please get in touch.

Skills & Experience:

Excellent customer service skills
Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office software
High level of organisational ability
Experience working in a busy sales office
Experience working in the hire industry, in the portable and modular building sector is preferred, although a similar sales / admin background will also be considered
Must be able to work on own initiative
A valid driving licence is essential

Duties include:

Handling of telephone enquiries and sourcing equipment as per customer requirements
To record enquiries and source of enquiries
Compile reports on a weekly and monthly basis
To follow up response of quotations sent
To produce hire contracts, quotations and any other correspondence necessary
Negotiation with suppliers to obtain best rates
To keep accurate record of all purchase orders and client files
Liaise with yard staff and suppliers to fulfill orders
Generate new enquiries and new clients
Plus normal day to day office duties

We are looking for the candidate to be able to carry out some telesales on a daily basis and would be responsible for generating hire through ringing potential clients.
